Where to stay
Sanremo and the surrounding areas have so much to offer - tranquility and relaxation in the quiet Ligurian countryside or trendy Italian culture. We suggest you opt for one of the two approaches when looking for accommodation.
1. Stay central and take in the coastal beaches and boutique Italian designer shopping during the day and the wealth of bars and restaurants of typical Italian style in the evenings. Self catering apartments from around £80 per night, 2 people sharing. 3* Hotel / B&B from £70 per room.
2. Stay in one of the beautiful surrounding medieval villages full of art, history and typical Italian countryside style. Out top favourites are Dolceacqua, Isolabona and Apricale. All of which are easy to reach using the well connected bus services. Self catering apartments from around £50 sleeping 2 people. 4* Hotel / B&B from £90 per room.
There is generally accommodation in each area available to suit most budgets.
But, if your travelling partner isn’t into road cycling, don’t worry, as there are so many other activities to choose from. Sunbathing, rock climbing, mountain biking, hill walking, shopping, spa days, running, sailing, surfing, kayaking, wine tasting, cooking course, art (just about anything you can think of!). Or just relax while take in the beautiful surroundings sipping a proper Italian coffee.
